Flexibility to access all the care you need
One incident can require that you access multiple MASA benefits to help prevent out-of-pocket expenses. For example, a person involved in a severe car accident may require multiple medical emergency transportation services. Initially, a ground ambulance might transport them to a nearby hospital, but if they need specialized care that the facility can’t provide, an air ambulance might be required to transfer them to a trauma center. And should all of this occur far from home, when the attending physician gives approval, MASA may be able to get the member repatriated to a hospital nearer to their home for continued care.
