The MASA team both supports the emergency service community and is built by this community. Part of our mission is to protect the emergency service providers who care for those facing critical emergency situations, and we remain committed to supporting those on the frontlines of these catastrophic wildfires.
Supporting frontline heroes
To further our commitment, MASA is donating to two organizations actively involved in supporting emergency response for recent wildfires in Los Angeles County:
- Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: The LAFD Foundation provides vital equipment and funds critical programs to help the LAFD save lives and protect communities. Their wildfire emergency fund equips firefighters with tools and supplies to contain the fires.
- Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation: LAEPF provides direct support to the City and County of Los Angeles for disaster preparedness, risk mitigation, crisis management, and long-term resiliency. The foundation supports the Community Brigade program, which trains volunteers in fire behavior, communication, home hardening, and other operational procedures to assist communities before and during wildfires.
Moving forward together
At MASA, we believe that no one — not families or EMS providers — should be burdened by unresolved costs for medical transportation. We are here to ensure that all have greater peace of mind when emergency care is accessed, and we are honored to support emergency responders who continue to make a difference during and in the aftermath of natural disasters.
